Because a website that nobody maintains stops working. Hosting, certificates, updates, security patches and content changes are ongoing work, and paying for them monthly is cheaper than paying an agency hourly every time something needs to change. The monthly fee also means we are still here in a year, which is the point.
You own your domain, your content and your data, always, and you can take them with you. The site itself is part of the ongoing service, in the same way your phone system or your accounting software is. If you leave we hand over your content and help you move.
Most builds go live within two to three weeks of us receiving your content. The step that usually takes the longest is you sending us photos and service details, so we make that as easy as we can.
